Y’know, it’s so upsetting how Paula liking vague physical traits her son has doesn’t have to be sus, those could very easily be traits he shares with his father so, you know, it could be brushed aside as “traits Paula was attracted to in the father of her child,” and that’s not weird at all, that’s just good old genetics, but then she just has to go and be….like that with her son dating other women and it’s just….you had an out, Paula! I had a pretty fun time watching Abigail. It was no Ready or Not but still fun. Didn’t realize the main actress was the one from scream, didn’t recognize her at all! Definitely liked her better in this.

So about the dad reveal. Originally this was announced as a straight Dracula's Daughter remake, at least when Radio Silence took over as director. However, after Renfield and The Last Voyage of The Demeter were minor box office failures, apparently Universal pushed for reshoots to lower that connection. So that's why it's so dramatic: he wasn't originally just Matthew Goode as a vampire, it was Matthew Goode as *that* vampire.

I actually saw this film. I am often a sucker for A24 films. I personally took some scenes to be fantasy sequences, like the bits with the hulking muscles, the bodybuilding competition debacle, and, of course, the giantess sequence. They seemed like they were just visions. I wonder when this film comes out on home media if there will be a commentary track.

Honestly, the most fun I had with this movie was with my brother. We were sitting next to each other in the theater and after a few scenes with Pete, I turned to him and said "He kinda looks like Elon Musk right?" and he said "Oh yeah." So throughout the movie, I was imagining him as Elon Musk and it was pretty funny. No idea if it was intentional, but we had fun regardless.

I'm always so happy when we get to see Kristin flex her acting muscles(haha) with a script that actually lets her. It's been so cool to see her blossom into such a compelling actor, making less obvious choices, bringing her self to the role. Damn she's good.

I kinda hoped the father in the end will be Nicolas Cage as a weird nod to Renfield. Or Keanu.

I love Nicholas Galitzine and have seen.practically every movie he’s made. I read the book but the movie was so much better. The book was a bummer at the end. Anne Hathaway did a terrific job and their chemistry was off the charts. Music was good and I love his voice.

This is what I like to call a "wine movie"... thats a lady thriller you only enjoy if you watch it with a bottle of wine

I THINK the intent of Abigail holding out her pinky in the final action scene isn't just her saying "you promised no one would hurt me". Abigail is trying to convince Joey to push herself through the pain to help kill Frank. She's reinforcing the deal they made a few minutes ago. Like she really means it, "pinky promise I'll let you go."

The first time a vampire died in this movie and exploded blood everywhere, I remembered that it was directed by one of the ready or not guys.

Unfortunately the stalker was found and did an interview with Pierce Morgan.

They had filmed a lot more of Abigail and her dad, but it mostly cut for run-time, I think

I really enjoyed Abigail, it felt like it took part in the lost boys universe.

My only complaint about this movie is that dracula was not played by Nicholas cage. I needed this to happen lmao.

It's been awhile since I really wanted to see a movie. I like this because of the unique premise. Not perfect but looks to be quite enjoyable

Another issue I had with this film is how it could possibly increase the desire for the Scottish Fold cat breed, a breed that is unethical due to the genetic affliction that causes their cute folded ears also afflicts the rest of the cartilage in their bodies, causing progressive chronic joint paint - and you cannot get those folded ears without the ailment, basically (they've been banned in the Netherlands for that reason)

Honestly, this was a fun movie and I loved it. I'm tired of all this political horseshit in movies that kills the vibe. I just want to watch a movie that's not portraying what's going on out in this fucked up world. I never seen any promo for this movie, clicked your video, after you named all the cast, I stopped the video and went to watch it.
